Jan 2010 - The New Year shows good news for 2009. We had 0 cases sent back for revocation in 2009. Even better - 88% of our cases were approved on the 1st day during the second half of 2009. And this despite the fact that we take on some of the toughest cases out there (e.g., fiancee currently a member of CCP, two fiancees and one wife speaking almost no English, one marriage on first visit, three clients with low income, etc.).

Sept 2009 - John Roth meets with Guangzhou IV Unit Chief, discusses substantive issues.

July 2009 - Guangzhou IV Unit Chief agrees to meet with attorneys.

June 2009 - CIS starts to issue revocation decisions in as little as  2 months from IV. Thousands of decisions issued during Summer 2009.

June 2009 - Immigration Law Weekly ranks John Roth’s GUZ memo most read article for month.

April 2009 - CIS publishes major memo on revocation cases.

March 2009 - John Roth files 19 page complaint with DOS criticizing GUZ’s high visa refusal rate and CIS’ 2 year wait for revocation decisions.

Sept 2008 - John Roth visits Guangzhou Consulate. IV Unit Chief refuses to meet him or explain past decisions. This is SOP at the time.

2008 & 1Q09 - Guangzhou Consulate returns high percentage of K-1 and K-3 visas to CIS for revocation. Cases languish for two years without a decision. No one does anything about it.
